Patricia McDonald

Pats McDonald believes many heads make light work. A strategy leader with over 20 years experience, she has a breadth of experience from brand agencies to digital platform and service businesses that gives her the ability to develop powerful overarching brand stories and to optimise those stories across the customer journey.

She spent 11 years at Bartle Bogle Hegarty over a period when the agency was named IPA Effectiveness Agency of the Year twice and Campaign Agency of the Year three times. She ran the Levi’s account globally, helping return the brand to Cannes glory, won 3 IPA effectiveness awards, and was an early contributor to the agency’s BBH Labs innovation hub.

As Head of Digital Strategy, she founded The & Partnership’s social media practice (now All Together Now). She spent five years as Chief Strategy Officer at Isobar, Dentsu Aegis’ digital flagship, developing innovative digital platforms and products. Most recently, as Managing Director, Strategy and Insight at Weber Shandwick, she has been responsible for building out the agency’s planning and analytics capabilities and for helping diversify the offering into digital, social and data transformation. She is a contributing author to “Eat your Greens”, the APG’s best selling book on data driven marketing and a regular writer and speaker on issues from technology as a force for good to women in leadership to the future of eCommerce.

She specialises in brand, digital and content strategies, agency products and propositions, and complex integration challenges. Making the complex simple through compelling storytelling is her USP.
